§35a SGB VIII regulates integration assistance for children and young people whose mental health deviates from the age-appropriate state in the long term and whose social participation is thereby impaired or endangered.
The aim of this assistance is to enable young people to actively participate in social life and to promote their personal development.
The support can include, for example, the following measures:
educational support in everyday life
School support or school assistance
socio-educational support

Die Eingliederungsförderung von Cocoon – Jugend und Familienhilfe e.V. richtet sich an Kinder und Jugendliche, die aufgrund seelischer Belastungen oder Entwicklungsbeeinträchtigungen Unterstützung benötigen, um aktiv am gesellschaftlichen Leben teilnehmen zu können.
The aim of this assistance is to provide young people with the necessary support so that they can develop their personal skills, build social relationships and manage their daily lives as independently as possible.

Die Eingliederungsförderung erfolgt im Rahmen der gesetzlichen Regelungen der Kinder- und Jugendhilfe gemäß §35a SGB VIII.
This help is aimed at children and young people,

and whose participation in social life is thereby impaired or jeopardized.

Die Schulbegleitung (auch Schulassistenz genannt) unterstützt Kinder und Jugendliche, die aufgrund seelischer oder sozialer Herausforderungen Hilfe benötigen, um am schulischen Alltag teilzunehmen.
The aim of this support is to enable students to participate consistently in lessons and to promote their academic and social development.
School support is provided in close cooperation with the school, the parents and – if necessary – the responsible youth welfare office.
2. Tasks of the school support staff
Our educational professionals accompany children and young people in their everyday school life and support them in coping better with lessons and the social environment of the school.
Support can include, among other things, the following areas:
Support in structuring everyday teaching
Promoting concentration and work organization
Support in social situations within the class
Support in building social relationships
Help with resolving conflicts in everyday school life
Promoting independence and self-confidence
School support does not replace the pedagogical work of the teachers, but complements it with individual support.

4. Cooperation with youth welfare offices and specialist agencies
Cooperation within the framework of child and youth welfare
Cocoon – Youth and Family Support Association operates within the framework of the legal provisions of the SGB VIII and cooperates closely with the relevant youth welfare offices and other specialist agencies.
Our offers are made within the framework of an individual Care plan procedure according to §36 SGB VIII Developed and implemented. In doing so, we focus on the specific needs of children, young people and families.
Our educational professionals work in an interdisciplinary manner and regularly coordinate with all participating institutions to ensure sustainable and needs-based support.
