Cooperation with youth welfare offices and specialist agencies

Cocoon – Jugend und Familienhilfe e.V. ist ein gemeinnütziger Träger der Kinder- und Jugendhilfe und arbeitet auf Grundlage der gesetzlichen Bestimmungen des SGB VIII.

Our services are aimed at children, adolescents, young adults and families who need support in challenging life situations.

We work closely with youth welfare offices, schools, therapeutic facilities and other social institutions to develop needs-based support services.

Legal basis of our work

Our work is primarily guided by the following principles:
legal regulations:

  • Section 27 of the German Social Code, Book VIII – Child and Youth Welfare Services
  • Section 28 of the German Social Code, Book VIII – Educational Counseling
  • Section 30 of the German Social Code, Book VIII – Educational Support
  • Section 31 SGB VIII – Social Pedagogical Family Support
  • Section 35 SGB VIII – Intensive individual socio-educational support
  • Section 35a SGB VIII – Integration assistance for people with mental disabilities

The specific details of the assistance are determined within the framework of the assistance planning process according to §36 SGB VIII.

Our services

Cocoon –Youth and Family Support Association, offers various support services within the framework of child and youth welfare.

This includes in particular:

  • Outpatient child and youth welfare services
  • Integration support
  • School support / school assistance
  • Supported independent living
  • further individual support services

All assistance is individually tailored to the specific situation of the children, young people and families.

Collaboration in the care planning process

Cooperation with youth welfare offices takes place within the framework of the care plan procedure.

This includes in particular:

  • close cooperation with all participating institutions
